1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using ShowHunter (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App, including users who access the App without creating an account.
East Heights Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will indicate the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of Service
ShowHunter is a live music discovery application that displays concerts, venue information, and community-reported stage times for events near your location. The App aggregates data from third-party sources and community contributions to help users find live music.
We do not sell tickets. We do not represent artists, venues, or promoters. Event information displayed in the App is provided for informational purposes and may not be complete or accurate.
2.1 Event Listing Completeness
ShowHunter aggregates event data on a commercially reasonable basis. A venue appearing in the App may show no upcoming events even when shows are scheduled. This can occur because:
- Ticketing platform gap: The venue is selling tickets through a platform or broker with which we do not have a data relationship.
- Unverified venue: The venue does not have a verified account with ShowHunter and has not been claimed through the ShowHunter Venue Dashboard.
- Verified but not updated: The venue has a verified ShowHunter account but has not updated its schedule in the Venue Dashboard to reflect current advertising or website listings.
We make no guarantee that event listings are complete, current, or representative of all shows at a given venue. Always confirm event details — including showtimes and ticket availability — directly with the venue or through the venue’s official website or ticketing provider.
3. Accounts and Identity
3.1 Anonymous Use
Core features of ShowHunter are available without creating an account. When you first launch the App, we assign a randomly generated device identifier (UUID) to your installation. This identifier is used to associate your activity — including favorites, “I’m Going” confirmations, and stage time reports — with your device. See our Privacy Policy for more detail on how this identifier is handled.
3.2 Sign In with Apple (Optional)
ShowHunter offers optional account creation through Sign In with Apple. If you choose to sign in, Apple will share a stable, anonymized account identifier (“Apple sub claim”) with us, which becomes your permanent account identity in ShowHunter. You may also optionally share your email address and display name with us through the Sign In with Apple flow; those fields are never required.
By signing in with Apple, you agree that we may: - Create a persistent ShowHunter account linked to your Apple sub claim - Optionally store your email address and display name if you choose to share them - Associate your prior anonymous activity (favorites, going, stage time reports) with your account, as described in Section 3.3 below - Retain your account data in accordance with Section 3.5 (Data Retention) and our Privacy Policy
We will never use your Apple ID credentials for any purpose other than account authentication within ShowHunter. We do not share your Apple ID or Apple sub claim with third parties.
3.3 Device UUID History and Activity Backfill
ShowHunter maintains a history of device UUIDs associated with your account. When you sign in with Apple, any prior anonymous activity associated with known device UUIDs — favorites, going confirmations, stage time reports — may be linked to your authenticated account. This backfill is intentional: it allows your history to persist across device reinstalls and new devices.
Specifically, we may retain: - All device UUIDs ever associated with your account, including first-seen and last-seen timestamps - Community contributions (stage time reports, going confirmations) linked to those device UUIDs - Favorites and saved venue/event data linked to those device UUIDs
If you do not sign in with Apple, your activity is associated only with the current installation’s UUID and is not persisted across reinstalls.
3.4 Tier and Entitlement Data
If you subscribe to ShowHunter or redeem a promo code, we maintain records of your subscription tier, tier source, entitlement grant history, and expiry dates. This information is linked to your account and is used solely to provision your subscription benefits. See Section 7 (Subscriptions and Billing) for details.
3.5 Account Deletion and Data Retention
You may request deletion of your ShowHunter account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. In-app account deletion will be available in a future update. Upon account deletion:
- Your Apple sub claim and any associated email/display name will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days
- Your device UUID history and all associated activity (favorites, going, stage time reports) will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- Your tier/entitlement records and promo code redemption history will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- Exception: Community-contributed stage time reports may be retained in anonymized, de-identified form as part of our aggregate event accuracy data set, provided all linkage to your account or device UUIDs is severed
If you use ShowHunter anonymously (no Sign In with Apple), you may request deletion of your anonymous device UUID’s associated data by contacting us with your approximate activity window and city. Because anonymous UUIDs are not linked to any personal account, we cannot guarantee precise attribution, but will make reasonable efforts to fulfill your request.
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 Our Intellectual Property
The App, including its source code, user interface design, graphics, logos, trademarks, service marks, and all content created by East Heights Labs LLC, is owned by East Heights Labs LLC and protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. “ShowHunter” is a trademark of East Heights Labs LLC. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written permission.
You may not: - Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content - Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the App - Use our trademarks, logos, or branding in any manner that implies endorsement or affiliation without express written consent
4.2 Your Content — License Grant
When you submit a stage time report, venue correction, or any other content through the App (“User Content”), you retain ownership of that content. However, by submitting User Content, you grant East Heights Labs LLC a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, display, distribute, and create derivative works from your User Content in connection with operating, improving, and promoting the App and its services.
This license allows us to: - Display your submissions to other users of the App - Aggregate and analyze submission data to improve accuracy and reliability - Use anonymized submission data in marketing, press, and investor materials - Sublicense this content to partners and successors in connection with the App
You represent and warrant that you own or have the right to submit any User Content you provide, and that your submissions do not violate any third-party rights.
This license survives account deletion to the extent that de-identified, aggregated Community Reports are retained as described in Section 3.5.
4.3 No Scraping or Unauthorized Data Collection
You may not use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers, or similar tools) to access, collect, copy, or store any data from the App without our prior written consent. The community-reported stage time data displayed in the App is proprietary to East Heights Labs LLC and protected by copyright as a compilation.
5. Community Contributions — Stage Time Reports
5.1 Accuracy
Stage time reports are submitted by community members and are not verified by East Heights Labs LLC. We make no representations about their accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Always confirm show times with the venue or event organizer before attending.
5.2 Acceptable Submissions
You agree to submit only stage times and venue information you believe to be accurate and that you obtained through lawful means. You may not submit: - False, misleading, or malicious information - Content that violates any third-party rights - Spam or promotional content unrelated to live music events
5.3 Moderation
We reserve the right to remove, correct, or refuse any User Content at our sole discretion, without notice or liability.
6. Third-Party Data and Services
The App displays event data from third-party providers including Ticketmaster and JamBase. This data is subject to those providers’ terms of service and may change, be delayed, or be unavailable at times. We are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of third-party data.
6.0 Third-Party Links and External Sites
The App may contain links to third-party websites, ticketing platforms, venue websites, and other external services (“External Sites” or “Third-Party Providers”). You acknowledge that we are not responsible for the availability of, or the materials located on or through, any External Sites. If you use any External Sites, you will leave the App. If you decide to visit any External Sites, you do so at your own risk.
External Sites are not maintained, controlled, or otherwise governed by us. The content, accuracy, opinions expressed, and other links provided by External Sites are not investigated, verified, monitored, or endorsed by us. We do not endorse or make any representation regarding any information, goods, or services appearing on any External Sites. We are neither responsible for nor liable under any theory for any External Sites, any information or content found on any External Sites, or any site linked to or from any External Sites.
East Heights Labs is not responsible for the accuracy of third-party event listings, ticket availability, pricing, or venue information provided by these sources. Ticket links are provided as a convenience; East Heights Labs has no control over ticketing transactions conducted through third-party platforms.
6.1 Apple Maps / MapKit
When you view a Venue Card in the App, we may query Apple’s MapKit and CoreLocation APIs using a venue’s name and geographic coordinates to retrieve publicly available business contact information (such as phone number, website, and neighborhood name). No user-identifiable information is transmitted in these queries. Apple’s MapKit API communicates with Apple’s servers as part of this process. Results are displayed in the App UI only and are not stored on East Heights Labs servers. Apple’s handling of these API calls is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy and terms of service.
If we have verified contact information for a venue in our own database, that data takes priority and no MapKit query is made for those fields.
Links or references to third-party websites, venues, or services do not constitute endorsement by East Heights Labs LLC.
7. Subscriptions and Billing
7.1 Free Tier
Core features of the App are available at no charge. No account is required to use the App’s basic discovery features.
7.2 ShowHunter Subscription
ShowHunter offers an optional paid subscription (“ShowHunter Subscription”) that provides access to additional features as described on our website and in the App, which may include enhanced stage time intelligence, push notifications for followed venues, setlist history, and multi-city support.
- Price: $9.99 per year
- Free Trial: 14 days. During the free trial, you will have full access to ShowHunter Subscription features. Your subscription begins at the end of the free trial period unless you cancel before the trial ends. No charge is made until the trial period concludes.
- Billing: Subscriptions are billed annually through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods.
- Price Changes: We may change subscription pricing with advance notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
7.3 Grandfathered Pricing
Users who subscribed to ShowHunter Subscription during the App’s alpha or beta testing period (“Founding Members”) are entitled to retain their subscription price in effect at the time of their initial subscription for as long as they maintain an active, continuously renewed subscription. For purposes of this section, “alpha or beta testing period” means any period prior to the App’s general availability release on the Apple App Store. This benefit does not transfer and is forfeited upon cancellation.
7.4 Apple as Payment Processor
All in-app purchases are processed by Apple Inc. through the App Store. East Heights Labs LLC does not collect or store payment information. Subscription management, refunds (where applicable under Apple’s policies), and billing disputes are handled through Apple’s standard processes.
7.5 Promo Codes and Venue QR Codes
East Heights Labs may issue promotional codes that grant complimentary access to ShowHunter Subscription or other features. Promo codes are non-transferable, may have expiration dates, and may only be redeemed once per account. We reserve the right to revoke promo code benefits if obtained fraudulently or in violation of these Terms.
Venues with a verified ShowHunter account may generate QR codes through the ShowHunter Venue Dashboard for display at their location. When a user scans a venue QR code, the App may prompt them to follow that venue, enabling notifications and updates about future events at that location. QR codes are unique to each venue and may not be used for promotional, commercial, or deceptive purposes outside of the venue’s own marketing at its physical location.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers or networks
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its related systems

- Your right to use the App ceases immediately
- Any active ShowHunter Subscription is cancelled; no refund is issued for any remaining subscription period

Appendix B — Privacy Policy Update Required
The current Privacy Policy at eastheightslabs.com/privacy.html was written for the anonymous-UUID-only architecture. It must be updated before this ToS ships, or the two documents will be inconsistent. At minimum, the Privacy Policy needs:
Sections to add or rewrite:
“Information We Collect” → Add: - Authenticated Account Data (optional): When you choose to sign in with Apple, we collect your Apple sub claim (a stable, anonymized account identifier assigned by Apple). You may also optionally share your email address and display name. These are used to create and manage your ShowHunter account. - Device UUID History: If you sign in with Apple, we maintain a history of device UUIDs associated with your account, including first-seen and last-seen timestamps. This allows activity to persist across reinstalls and devices. - Activity Backfill: Prior anonymous activity (favorites, going confirmations, stage time reports) linked to device UUIDs may be associated with your authenticated account upon sign-in. - Tier and Entitlement Data: If you subscribe or redeem a promo code, we retain your subscription tier, source, grant history, and expiry. Payment is processed by Apple; we do not receive or store payment card data.
“Information We Do Not Collect” → Remove: - “Apple ID or sign-in credentials” ← This is no longer accurate once Sign In with Apple is implemented. Replace with: “We do not collect your Apple ID password or any Apple authentication credential. Sign In with Apple authentication is handled entirely by Apple.”
“Data Retention” → Rewrite: - Anonymous users: device UUIDs and stage time reports retained to power community features; deletion by request - Authenticated accounts: Apple sub claim, email (if provided), display name (if provided), device UUID history, and activity data retained until account deletion; 30-day deletion window upon request
“Your Rights” → Expand: - Add: “Delete your ShowHunter account” — describe in-app deletion flow - Add: “Request deletion of authenticated account data” — reference 30-day window - The “Reset your anonymous ID by deleting and reinstalling” language should note that if the user is signed in with Apple, reinstallation does not sever the account linkage; account deletion is required
“How We Use Information” → Add rows to the table: | Apple sub claim | Create and manage your authenticated account | | Email address (optional) | Account communications, if opted in | | Device UUID history | Persist activity across devices; account backfill | | Tier/entitlement data | Provision subscription features |
